Strategies for Building Resilience
Each organization is unique. The way organizational resilience is implemented is also unique, however studies have shown that there are common attributes and behaviors demonstrated by organizations that have survived and thrived during times of change and uncertainty.
The model identifies 3 Dimensions for resilience. Within each Dimension there are 3 Attributes that are evident in more resilient organizations. Strategies can be implemented to improve both the capacity and capabilities of the attributes.

Enabling Behaviors
The organization must also behave in a manner that drives a more resilient culture – “how” the organization does its work and creates value.
These behaviors demonstrate how the organization and its people interact with itself and with others. They affect how the organization and its people interact both internally and externally.
The enabling behaviors are important in preventing breakdown or failure; or enabling an appropriate and timely response to be taken. They should guide leadership in all activities and should be at the core of the strategy.
Some of the enabling behaviors should be promoted across all organizational systems, while others are more important or relevant to some systems than others.
