ISO22301 Lead Auditor

ISO 22301 Lead Auditor is a 35 credit hour course delivered via traditional instructor-led, online blended learning, and Learning methods that teaches the principles and practices of independent auditing of a BCMS and guides the student through the audit process using a balance of formal instruction and practical case study activities.

BC 5000 provides students with the skills and knowledge to conduct and lead effective business continuity management system audits in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 19011:2018 as well as an in-depth study of both these standards. In addition, auditing practices such as how to lead an audit, present audit findings, write an audit report, and conduct opening, closing, and follow-up audit meetings are included.

Course Delivery
The course is constructed around a case study and each activity is applied to the case study as we move through the course. With practical auditing activities as well as multi-media, participants gain an understanding of the requirements of ISO 22301 and BCMS auditing practices. Course materials include hard and electronic copies of ISO 22301, an auditor questionnaire and toolkit, and templates for planning an audit and writing the report.

Using a case study approach and the ISO 22301 2019 Maturity Model Assessment tool, participants learn how to conduct a self-assessment of an organization’s Business Continuity Management System. The self assessment tool is included in the course (value $995.00).

The self-assessment tool can be used to measure program alignment to ISO 22301 2019 to improve BCMS capability, to declare conformity to ISO 22301 2019, and to determine readiness for a 3rd party certification audit.

Participants will learn how to develop and manage a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) that is aligned to ISO 22301. Implementing ISO 22301 is designed to expose the participant to all aspects of a BCM program and to be a solid “how to” guide for building a business continuity program for all types of organizations.

With the new version of ISO 22301 having just been published in October 2019, this course is designed to help you get up to speed on changes, why these changes were made, and their potential impact on your Business Continuity Management System. This 2-hour online learning module provides comprehensive review of changes and improvements as well as a downloadable 2019-2012 comparison guide.

Once the course is completed, take advantage of the opportunity to sit for a 1-hour open-standard, open-book online exam that is a combination of multiple choice and short answer.
